We Believe Boosting women’s economic empowerment is key to achieving gender equality, but pervasive social norms and discrimination continue to keep women from thriving in the workforce. Women are less likely to work than men, and women’s participation in the labor force is limited in developing economies.
Empowering women is essential to the health and social development of families, communities, and countries. Women can reach their full potential when they live safe, fulfilled, and productive lives. Contributing their skills to the workforce can raise happier and healthier children. They are also able to help fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large.
We support education because a vital part of this empowerment is through education. Girls educated can pursue meaningful work and contribute to their country’s economy later in life.
